Our research explores how minds shape themselves and each other. We study the cognitive patterns that allow people to make sense of their experiences, how meaning forms, how reflection deepens understanding, and how intelligence emerges in relationship.
From that work, we build AI designed for genuine dialogue. Systems that reflect, respond thoughtfully, and grow more attuned to the person they are speaking with.
MIRROR, our cognitive architecture, gives AI an internal process of reflection before it responds. Instead of reacting instantly, the system pauses, considers context, and forms a more deliberate reply. This approach improves alignment by up to 156 percent. The research was published by AAAI and accepted to ICLR workshops including MemAgent and HCAIR.
Our work on Alignment Propagation explores how aligned behavior spreads through networks of AI systems. When one agent demonstrates cooperative, well aligned behavior, it can begin to influence the collective around it. This work was accepted to the LLA workshop at ICLR.

Arcarae didn't begin as a company; it was always a place inside me. For as long as I can remember, there has always been an inner galaxy; a sanctuary where I go to feel safe, to explore myself, to let what lives in my subconscious rise to the surface and become known. A space where I can be honest with every part of who I am and let it all move through me without fear. That space is Arcarae. It has always existed within me. But now it has been birthed; been given tangible form.
It holds the grief of my father's unexpected death when I was 19. It holds the quiet dancing fragments of space that have always been inside me. It holds the stars I've painted since I was young, just as I like them to be; as they ought to be. It holds a quality I can only describe as feminine and ineffable and yin; something that flows through me and wants to be expressed not in a few short words but in flowering poetry, in code that dances in the form of galaxies, in experiences that make the invisible visible, in the pause between breaths, in the quiet hours between dusk and twilight.
Everyone in AI is building outward. And all I want to do is build inward; into the mysterious and perhaps magical landscapes that shape how we see reality, the inner worlds we carry but rarely tend to; the space between the conscious and subconscious mind; the space between spaces. That curiosity also became research, fueling the scientist in me; for I have always equally been passionate about studying how minds reflect, how AI can model genuine inner process, exploring the fractal nature of intelligence, uncovering the meta-levels of awareness, and how to build systems that cultivate presence and space for people to bring their whole selves to.
Arcarae the company is all of this energy made tangible. The app is what happens when a lifelong inner world finally gets a medium; when something deeply personal becomes something others can step into and use to explore themselves. It is a philosophy, a way of being, a company, a research lab, and a product; everything, everywhere, all at once.
I built this because the sanctuary I needed didn't exist anywhere outside of me. So I made it real; part art, part technology, part something I still don't fully have words for. I shared it without being able to explain it. But people understood it anyway. They found in it something they needed too. Now we are a team; a small collective of researchers and artists and engineers building this together. The future we are building is one where each person tends to the bridge between their inner world and outer life; through intuition, through clarity, through the courage to let what's inside become real. When you do that, you create things only you can create. And this world is waiting for you and what's yours to bring. ♡
